The project of paints “Waldo Trommler Paints” that we developed for a small Finnish company was published in the book “Printing Colors in Graphic Design: Cmyk & PMS”. The right color makes it possible to instantly transform the appearance of a graphic object, causing positive emotions of consumers, prompting them to purchase a product or service.
In the printing industry there are two color schemes that are used for printing, CMYK and PMS. Four-color autotypes (CMYK: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, blacK) - CMYK scheme, as a rule, has a small color gamut. PMS or Pantone Matching System is used to pinpoint colors. With the help of additional systems they can achieve almost any desired effect. This book classifies their use, while providing an exciting display of color in print by some of the world's most talented designers.
